ALERT: Do not submit your criminal record check yet

Please do not send your criminal record check to CCOA in June. Please wait until you receive instructions from CCOA in July on how and when to submit.

Top three things to know

  • CCOA will send out instructions in July on how to obtain and submit your criminal record check.
  • To be valid, criminal record checks must be dated between July 1 and October 31, 2025.
  • Criminal records checks are due October 31, 2025.

Exceptions:

When CCOA communicated to regulated chiropractors about the requirement for a criminal record check in this renewal, we were clear about obtaining the CRC on or after July 1. This is because we did not want chiropractors to feel additionally burdened by this requirement while they were also completing/submitting their CC credits and renewal application. Some chiropractors may have missed that message and obtained their criminal record check a little early and that is okay. CCOA will accept the early submissions but encourages registrants to wait for further instructions in July.
